MRI INNOVATIONS

Innovation defined: from the Latin innovátus, which means to renew. Innovation can, therefore, be seen as the process that renews something that already exists.

MRI research scientists, engineers and clinical experts have been delivering increasingly impressive MRI innovations for the past four decades. The library of MRI innovations has had a most profound effect on the way Radiologists make their diagnosis. Improvements in hardware design and clinical applications have brought MRI scanner technology to an unprecedented level of sensitivity and specificity - enabling early detection and more effective treatment of disease. This paradigm of continuous innovation has (in fact) saved lives, reduced human suffering and reduced the overall cost of delivering healthcare.

High Temperature Superconducting Coils (HTS) is the first in a series of MR innovations that TIME MEDICAL Systems will bring to the MR industry. HTS coils deliver increased Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) to MR images primarily through the use of more efficient RF coil materials and design methods. Specifically, we've pioneered the use of liquid nitrogen-cooled RF coils made from materials such as YiBaCuO and BiSrTiCaO. Our HTS coils have demonstrated SNR gains of 50%, 100%, 200% and up to 500% in some cases. Our efforts are now focused on delivering an integrated HTS program featuring application-specific HTS coils (Brain, Spine, Body, Knee, Shoulder...).

The Hybrid PICA with HTS is the first Whole Body MRI Scanner to utilize HTS Coil Technology, representing an efficient alternative to costly high-field MRI technology. The Hybrid PICA with HTS offers efficient siting, patient comfort, advanced clinical performance and a platform of innovation sustained by HTS.
